Jamie had fun making this Purple Passion smoothie recipe from scratch! This was a perfect way to use the orange puree from our Columbian Puree project (see more about that here). Check out the recipe below for a great smoothie to start your day or a fun afternoon snack! You can even zhuzh up this six-ingredient recipe with protein powder, nut butter, or something slightly more adult for a little more sparkle 🙌✨
Recipe notes:
- If you don’t have orange puree on hand, feel free to puree a half an orange if you have a high-powered food processor like a Vitamix or Ninja Blender to blend this up (just make sure to remove the seeds first!).
Purple Passion Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 Bananas
- 6 Blackberries
- 0.75 cup Blueberries
- 0.5 cup Almond milk
- 0.25 cup Orange purée
- 0.25 cup Pineapple juice
Instructions
- Start by getting a blender and washing your blackberries, adding those and the bananas into the blender first.
- Then add the remaining liquid ingredients, pulsing and pureeing until everything is combined fully and no big chunks of berries remain.
- If you'd like it colder, you can add some ice into the glasses first or puree some ice into the smoothies. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
