Creamy Coconut Orange Jam

This was a perfect way to use up some awesome pantry staples I had and the last of the orange puree from our Columbian Puree project (see more about that here). Check out the recipe below for an amazing spread for breads, cookies, desserts (like this Orange Apple Crumble) and more!

Orange Apple Crumble

This Orange Apple Crumble was a from scratch recipe that I threw together one night, inspired by some apples that I needed to finish, along with the awesome creamy orange coconut jam we made last month (see that recipe here). This can be edited for whatever jam or granola you have too!

Guava Crumble Bars

This Guava jam crumble bar recipe was a great use of the jam we made through our Puree Project (check out our blog about that here) with Wislla Distribution! These bars have an oat and graham cracker base, which gives great texture and flavor without adding too much sugar to the jam and topping. Check out the recipe for these below and let us know if you make these!

Guava Pastries – Two Ways

Check out these two takes, one #nondairy friendly guava-only pastry, and one take on a traditional Cuban guava and cream cheese pastry using our recipe for Guava jam we made through our Puree Project (check out our blog about that here) w/Wislla Distribution! This is one of those hyper-local regional favorites, to the point that Google doesn’t really know what a “Bird dog” is! Check out our blog associated with this recipe and how to make the homemade version of this classic South Carolina special, wherever you are!

Chicken & Sweet Potato Hash

One of favorite things to use when we go camping is our cast iron skillet! This five ingredient Chicken & Sweet Potato Hash was delish and so easy to make. This recipe takes a long time with marinading time, however, could be sped up if making or baking at home.

Pickled Cabbage & Onions

This was our first try at pickling anything and it turned out amazing (not to #humblebrag or anything). Had a head of cabbage and a a few types of onions to use, which added both flavor, crunch, & color to these beauties. The spices in this recipe could be subbed out or changed based on availability or preference – get creative with your pickled veggies!

Colombian Carnitas Marinade

Ya’ll know I love anything that can start as a base for tacos, and this citrus marinade is no exception! I wanted to adapt a typical citrus carnitas marinade recipe to include the Naranjilla (Colombian citrus) puree from our friends at Wislla Distribution. However, if you can’t find this from your local Mexican grocery store, you could sub that out with orange or lemon juice in equal quantities.
